Lab Study for mPerf

What is the purpose of the study?

The purpose of this study learn about the relationship between stress incurred while working and job performance by looking at indicators of job performance, such as personality, mood, stress levels, respiration rate, heart rate, and blood pressure.

How often are clinic visits?

You will be asked to attend only one 4-hour visit if you are interested and eligible for this study.

What will I be doing in the study?

If you agree to participate in this study, you will also be asked to answer questions about your demographics, mood, personal traits, habits, and work experiences. We would also fit you with our mPerf device system and we would measure your blood pressure and heart rate. The mPerf device system consists of a wireless chest band device with electrodes placed on your chest and a set of wrist sensors worn on each hand that continuously measure the body’s normal functions. This device system will help us to learn more about stress responses by measuring your responses to brief behavioral, mental and stress challenges similar to those encountered during normal working environments.

Will I be compensated?

The minimum compensation for this study is $70. You will be eligible to receive a maximum payment of $100 at the end of the visit if you earn all the bonus payments.
